Targ Wood, favored by many as a perfect hunting place. Many strange things happened here, but nothing too dangerous. Lini looked around. He'd been sent to find Muskmallow, a strange plant that was very soft and white. As he and his Chocobo wandered through the trees, he listened carefully. The pub master had told him that another clan had also applied for the position, so it was up to Lini to get the Muskmallow back first. Of course, the rest of his unit were out on other missions. He'd insisted that he could easily take care of this himself.
"Come on boy." Lini said turning the Chocobo around. As he did, he could've sworn that he saw something move behind a tree. "Looks like we have some company, kup." He said pulling at his Masamune. Making his Chocobo charge forward, Lini cut down the tree without even hestitating. Too late, he realized that no one was behind it. 'Where'd they go?' He wondered.

Angelus saw another Chocobo Knight wandering the forest. No doubt he was here for the same reason Angelus was. He stopped behind a tree, but the Chocobo didn't seem to want to. It continued forward, nearly getting its head chopped off in the process. By the time the tree fell, Angelus was gone. He and his mount had gone on ahead at a steady pace, not going too slow, while at the same time, not going fast enough to cause a racket. He stopped, and dismounted as he came across a clearing. He gave his Chocobo some food and drew his sword. He had no doubt in his mind that he wasn't alone. Now all he had to do was wait and see.

Lini looked at the ground. From what he could see, there were some chocobo tracks in the ground. "Could it be another chocobo knight?" He wondered out loud. After some minutes of deciding, he figured that it was probably just a wild chocobo. "Come on boy. At the very least, we'll be able to keep the chocobo safe from the enemies." Lini said moving the chocobo at full speed through the woods. Still, after all the years of being with Gaol, he hadn't forgotten anything. Making sure that there were no enemies around, he went on until he entered a clearing.
Quickly dismounting his chocobo, he faced another chocobo knight. "Seems as if I was wrong. There is someone else here already." He said looking at his Masamune. "I'll give you two choices. Leave now, or face the consequences." Lini said as a giant beam of light struck from the clouds. Where the light had struck, there now stood a man covered in silver armor. It was the judge.
"For this battle, swords are not allowed." The judge said before getting out of the way of the fight. Lini merely put his Masamune away. Sure, it made things more difficult, but all the more fun.

Angelus put his sword back in his sheath, and sneered. He realized that being a Moogle Lini had an advantage against taller creatures such as humes, that being the ability to hit them low. Not to mention being that short made it hard for taller creatures to hit Moogles. Angelus disliked fighting without his sword or weapons of any sort, that made it harder to torture and kill his opponents.
Angelus took three steps forward. Compared to the Moogles steps it must've seemed like at least ten. Angelus kicked at the Moogle with one foot, and punched with his right hand, its target seeming to be higher up, above the Mooglin.
"I don't care much for fighting, I just want to earn a little bit of Gil. Is that so bad?" Angelus asked sympathetically.

"Kind of. Because that's my gil!" Lini said sliding beneath the man's legs to the other side. Swords might not be able to be used, but Lini knew some special abilities that would surely help him out in this battle. "Choco Flame!" Lini yelled. At that moment, his Chocobo reared up on its back and shot a giant flame out of its mouth straight at Angelous. Knowing that Angelous would try to dodge it, Lini immediately went to his next attack. Grabbing a stick up from the ground, he waited for the moment when Angelous would touch ground, and when Lini would be able to use the stick against him.

Angelus' Chocobo charged at Lini making strange noises as it went. As it was charging at Lini, it knocked Angelus about five feet to the side. He got up and drew what appeared to be his sword. Truth was, it was just a wooden copy. He ran his pointer and middle fingers down the blunt side and threw it at the little Mooglin.
"You're not that bad Mooglin." Angelus said, now sneering.
"You might be a challenge compared to the thousands I've slaughtered."
OOC: I might have Meglin come in for a post or two, get scared, do something stupid, then leave.

(Alright. Sorry for not replying sooner. Just got back from my grandparents.)
Lini gasped as he heard what the man had said. 'He's slaughtered...that many...moogles?' He wondered. It hurt him dearly, knowing that some of his friends could've fallen before this cretin. Anger flared up inside him, and he knew what he had to do. "Then allow me the opportunity...to slay you for my fallen brethren." Lini said. The last time he'd said those words, was when he'd seen Gaol die before his eyes.
Dropping everything in his hands, Lini placed his hands together. "Meteor!" He yelled. This was one of the Moogle's strongest offensive moves, but most of the time it was a suicide attack, also. Looking up in the sky, a giant meteor was slowly falling to the earth. "It's beautiful, isn't it. To think that something so beautiful is able to kill us so easily." Lini said, ready to die.

Angelus looked up as Lini cast meteor.
"I haven't slaughtered thousands of Moogles. I've slaugthered thousands of people, whether they were Moogle, Hume, or some other race."
Angelus' wooden sword came back to him. His chocobo came back and he hopped on it, taking off. He got just out of range to see a young little Moogle wander into the clearing. -------------------- Meglin watched from the safety of the woods as the Moogle and the Hume duked it out. After the Hume fled, Meglin gathered up the courage to go into the clearing.
"Hello there fellow Moogle. I am Meglin the Brave. Although I'm not really that brave."
Meglin looked up at the sky, and saw the meteor coming down. He began to scream and cry. Shortly after he began to run around in circles, while tears were rolling down his black furry cheeks.
"I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I want my mommy! I want my mommy! But she's dead!" Meglin cried as he ran around. Suddenly he tripped and fell flat on his face. He began to cry even louder, still screaming about not wanting to die, but also about being in pain.

"Great. Objects in motion appear bigger than they appear, or something like that. Didn't you know that?" He asked, smirking. The 'giant' meteor fell harmless in front of Lini. In fact, it was merely the size of an acorn, but by using some of his magic, Lini had made it seem much bigger. "I might want to kill people, but I don't want to be killed myself." He said plainly as he looked at the cowardly Moogle. 'Why is it that I always get stuck with the crazy ones?' He wondered to himself as he whistled for his chocobo. It came over quietly, knowing that there was no hurry. At the moment the enemy wasn't there, and that was good enough.
